Sheet

A thin, flat piece of steel usually less than 6 mm thick. Sheets are easy to cut, bend, and form, making them ideal for manufacturing and construction.

Plate

A thicker flat piece of steel, typically more than 6 mm thick. Plates are used where strength and durability are crucial, such as in shipbuilding, pressure vessels, and heavy equipment.

Coil

Steel wound into rolls after being produced. Coils can be unrolled and cut into sheets or plates as needed. Coils help in easier handling and storage.

Types (Based on Processing)

Hot Rolled (HR)

Processed at high temperatures.
Cheaper, rough surface.
Used in construction, railway tracks, and shipbuilding.

Cold Rolled (CR)

Rolled at room temperature.
Smooth surface, tighter tolerances.
Used in appliances, furniture, and precision fabrication.

Galvanized

Coated with zinc to prevent rust.
Common in roofing, ductwork, and outdoor structures.

Stainless Steel

Contains chromium for corrosion resistance.
Used in food processing, kitchenware, and medical tools.
